About L.J. Gibbs
General Information:
L.J. Gibbs lives in Dayton, Ohio. She basically owns a petting zoo, but please don't report her to the authorities. It's a domesticated animals only petting zoo of two Great Pyrenees dogs, four former street cats, one abandoned dwarf Rex bunny, four parakeets, and no idea how many fish.
Writing Information:
L.J. mainly writes free verse poetry intended for her journal, but, hopefully, you will like it as well. In her youth, she sent out some poems, which were published in books, but she has no idea how to find those books now. She won the first place prize at the Dayton Metro Library poetry contest in 2007 (or around then). The prize was $100, which was good because she didn't get a decent job until 2008. She needed that money!
Educational Background:
L.J. graduated from The Ohio State University (OSU) in 2005 with a BA in English, a minor in Professional Writing, and a focus in Education. In 2007, she went back to school at Wright State University (WSU) to get an MBA with a focus in Marketing. While going to WSU, she also attended Sinclair Community College taking some CIS and VIS classes. She also went to Sinclair before OSU while a high school student, and she always loved it. Unfortunately, she fell out of the habit of taking classes and writing once her work life got in the way. Until...Â
Her sister went back to school and talked her into taking classes for fun in summer semester 2024. Lindsay signed up for Pilates and poetry. She hadn't taken a poetry class in over 20 years, and she missed it. This website was part of the final assignment, and she decided to keep it up afterwards.
